Let me start by saying that this work took me more than twice the normal time to finish. Is it twice as good?! Dont know...but is definitely better than all my previous works in my opinion

I worked with a technique that i was dying to try for some time now, shading in black and white and applying a gradient map on it. It took me quite a few tries until i got it right, but it was worth every minute!

Only did it on the skin, as i´m very "green" with this method for now. The rest (where?) of the props were made by my normal standards...

Why this change you ask?! Some friends pointed some flaws of my way of coloring.... lack of self shadows and texture. Realistic lighting in a complex shape as a body is a very hard task to achieve, for that matter, i normally dont do it. Always had something that kept me away from trying on that area but now, finally, i took the step.

Got inspiration on two of the greatest artists in DA: and

The shadow and light contrast from Genzoman and the realistic look by Jocachi. I think the two mix well and deliver a realistic coloring without losing that painted effect.
